Ex West Mercia PC admits racist posts mocking George Floyd

A former police officer has admitted sharing racist memes on WhatsApp mocking the death of George Floyd.

สมัครสล็อต 5 Reels is a very popular slot game for players because it has 5 wheels.

James Watts, a probationary officer with the West Mercia force at the time, posted them in a group that included colleagues at a Warwickshire prison.

The 31-year-old who admitted 10 counts on Friday was warned by Birmingham magistrates he could face jail.

He appeared alongside West Mercia PC Joann Jinks, who denied three counts of sharing the memes.

The pair were charged with sending grossly offensive or menacing messages by a public communication network in May and June in 2020.

Watts accepted in police interviews that the messages were racist in nature, the court heard.

The police watchdog, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), said it began investigating in June 2020 following a referral from the West Mercia force.

A Twitter user had claimed a serving policeman had posted racist memes, magistrates were told.

Markets must face up to tightening financial conditions

Already sitting on double-digit losses this year, stock market investors must brace for more, as the realisation sinks in that the U.S. Federal Reserve intends to tighten financial conditions to get on top of red-hot inflation.

slotวอเลท You can use free credits that are offered unlimitedly, only one difference is that the amount of credits in the test mode cannot be withdrawn.

Essentially, financial conditions measure how easily households and businesses can access credit, so are critical in showing how monetary policy transmits to the economy. Fed boss Jerome Powell repeated on Wednesday he will be keeping a close eye on them.

And they have a bearing on future growth - Goldman Sachs estimates a 100 basis-point tightening in its proprietary financial conditions index (FCI) - which factors in rates, credit and equity levels as well as the dollar - crimps growth by one percentage point over the following year.

Goldman's and other indexes from the Chicago Fed and IMF all show financial conditions have tightened significantly this year but remain loose historically, a testament to the scale of stimulus unleashed to help economies weather the pandemic.

Sven Jari Stehn, chief European economist at Goldman Sachs, estimates the bank's U.S. financial conditions index will need to tighten somewhat further for the Fed to achieve a "soft landing", i.e. to slow growth but not excessively.

Goldman's U.S. FCI is at 99 points - 200 bps tighter than at the start of the year and the tightest since July 2020. Conditions tightened 0.3 points on Thursday, as shares tanked, the dollar hit two-decade highs and 10-year bond yields closed above 3 per cent.

Abergele man died after scan results left on desk for six days

A man who needed urgent treatment could have lived longer if hospital staff had not left his scan results on a desk for six days, a coroner has said.

สล็อตxoวอเลท You need to be sure. Many slot games to increase the chances of the players themselves.

Trevor Reynolds' CT scan at Glan Clwyd Hospital on 3 May 2021 revealed he needed urgent care for a blood clot.

But the 78-year-old, from Abergele, Conwy county, died 12 days later after a slow start to his treatment.

Coroner for North Wales East and Central John Gittins recorded a narrative conclusion.

He will now raise a prevention of future deaths report.

Mr Reynolds was being treated for cancer of the oesophagus at the time, but needed to be urgently referred to the clinician after his scan revealed the clot.

On 6 May the scan results were placed on the consultant's desk, but he was out of the office for another six days.

It was not until a home visit from an occupational therapist, who alerted Mr Reynolds' GP of his poor condition, that he was admitted to hospital.

No injuries on Amber Heard after fight with Johnny Depp, say officers

May 27, 2016, was the day that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's marriage went from private misery to public, career-killing spectacle.

Earning extra money for access through xoslotz ทางเข้า online games This is undeniably another form of online gambling.

Heard, who had just filed for divorce, arrived at a Los Angeles courthouse that day to seek a temporary restraining order, showing up with a clear mark on her face, which she said Depp inflicted during a fight six days prior. Photographers captured the scene, and the allegations became tabloid fodder across the globe.

Depp says he never hit her, and now he's suing Heard for libel in Fairfax County Circuit Court. On Wednesday (Apr 27), jurors in the case heard from police officers who responded to the couple's penthouse immediately after the fight. None of the officers saw the red mark that was so prominent six days later.

Officer Tyler Hadden, one of the officers who responded to the couple's penthouse apartment on May 21, 2016, said Heard refused to talk to officers and had no signs of an injury, although he acknowledged she'd been crying and was red-faced.

"Just because I see a female with pink cheeks and pink eyes doesn't mean something happened," he said in a recorded deposition played for jurors Wednesday.

Ahead of the trip, the couple postponed their planned visit to Grenada after discussions with the island's leaders.

Previously, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge cancelled a visit to a Belize village on their Caribbean tour axed after opposition from locals.

As Prince Edward and Sophie landed on the island, they were greeted by scouts and girl guides as well as their second red carpet on the tour and a guard of honour.

Governor general Dame Susan Dougan and acting prime minister Montgomery Daniel welcomed Prince Edward, the Queen's youngest son.

One in four Covid patients in ICU because of virus

Only a quarter of Covid patients in Scotland's intensive care wards were there because of the virus, a study has found.

The main rules of play สล็อต wallet เครดิตฟรี are for players. Click the Spin button so that the symbols on the table are aligned with the payline according to the conditions of the game.

The Public Health Scotland report said that for the majority of patients with Covid in ICU, a positive test was "coincidental" to their admission.

This may have been because they tested positive after being admitted for another condition, for example.

It is the first study since the Omicron variant emerged in January.

The Scottish Intensive Care Society Audit Group said that a total of 296 patients who had a positive PCR test for the virus had been admitted to ICUs in Scotland between 1 January and 13 March.

In the initial wave in 2020, more than 80% of Covid patients in ICU units were said to have been admitted because the virus had made them seriously ill - with the figure falling to about 60% after the Delta variant emerged last year.

The further drop to 26% this year may indicate that Omicron causes less severe illness than previous variants on average - but most people now have increased protection from vaccines and hospitals have developed new treatments.

The latest figures showed that there were only 20 Covid patients in ICU units across the country out of a total of 1,819 patients who are in hospital with the virus.

Samsung Electronics Q1 profit tops market expectations on solid chip demand

Samsung Electronics Co Ltd reported on Thursday an estimated 50per cent jump in quarterly operating earnings to post its highest first-quarter profit since 2018, beating expectations as solid demand underpinned prices for memory chips.

Earnings at the world's largest memory chip and smartphone maker were also supported by brisk smartphone sales in the quarter, along with a disruption at a rival NAND Flash chip plant, analysts said.

Samsung put its first-quarter profit at 14.1 trillion won ($11.6 billion) in a preliminary earnings release, versus a Refinitiv SmartEstimate of 13.3 trillion won. Revenue likely rose 18per cent from the same period a year earlier to a record 77 trillion won, also above market expectations.

"The guidance beat market expectations, probably due to memory chip shipments and prices being better than expected," said Park Sung-soon, analyst at Cape Investment & Securities.

Although memory chip prices dipped in the first quarter, analysts said solid demand from data centre clients as well as cautious investment spending by chipmakers and limited capacity expansion buoyed Samsung's chip earnings, which make up about half of its total profits.

The chipmaker also likely benefited from a disruption at a rival NAND Flash chip plant owned by Japan's Kioxia and American firm Western Digital due to contamination of raw materials.

Scientists in eight countries, including specialists at Cardiff University, looked at genetic material of 111,000 people with Alzheimer's.

Findings suggest it is caused by many factors with evidence for a specific protein involved in inflammation.

Study co-author Prof Julie Williams said it was "a major leap forward".

"Genetics has and will continue to help us identify specific disease mechanisms which we can target therapeutically," said Prof Williams, centre director at the UK Dementia Research Institute at Cardiff University.

Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia and affects more than 850,000 people in the UK.

The research team hopes that, in future, genetic testing will identify those most at risk of developing Alzheimer's before symptoms appear.

The study, published in Nature Genetics, identified 75 genes associated with an increased risk of developing Alzheimer's disease, including 42 genes not previously implicated in the condition.

It also confirmed previous findings regarding the proteins amyloid-beta and tau, which build up in and around nerve cells as Alzheimer's progresses, and found that inflammation and the immune system play a role in the disease.

Content creation takes off with the power of 5G

Say what you will about social media, but platforms like YouTube, Instagram and TikTok are capturing the attention of consumers around the world, no doubt thanks to their wildly varied offerings of bite-sized videos that are easy to consume and just as easy to share. Connecting audiences of all ages through their creativity and wit, these short-form social media videos have seen their demand surge in recent years.

Choosing สล็อต the betting site you want to play means first, you need to start by choosing an online betting site.

Believing that 5G technology has the power to transform the way creators produce content and connect with their audiences, Singtel, the provider of Singapore's most powerful 5G network*, has stepped up to provide a seamless platform for them. By putting the power of advanced technology in the hands of these content creators, the stage is set for more high-quality digital creations.

NURTURING THE CALL TO CREATE
Singtel's earlier efforts to bring 5G experiences to the public have seen some enjoying the roaring mettle of being an F1 driver in racing booths at Southside Sentosa and Mandarin Gallery. Others found themselves in an underwater world with a vivid livestream of RWS SEA Aquarium across the island. And for visitors to The People's Gallery, the ability to interact with artwork from the National Gallery brought the pieces to life.

Teaming up with Mediacorp's social media creative studio Bloomr.SG, Singtel aimed to empower local content creators with the applications of its 5G network.

Thirty content creators from the inaugural Bloomr.SG Multi-Channel Network (MCN) Accelerator Programme – which aims to nurture the next generation of content creators in the local media space – attended The Future of Content Creation workshop organised by Singtel, where they were introduced to some of the latest applications of 5G technology. They also learnt how 5G can be used in a variety of ways to augment content production.

GREAT NETWORK, BETTER CONTENT
When it comes to the craft itself, Singaporean creators have come a long way, charming and entertaining viewers with their signature persona and stories. Harnessing the creativity of these creators to educate the public on 5G, Singtel and Bloomr.SG identified and funded select creators in the Bloomr.SG MCN Accelerator programme with a grant of S$20,000. Two teams went on to bring their ideas to fruition.

One of the selected groups comprising Trevmonki and Let's Talk, Folks, has produced a five-part web series Missing Piece about how Singaporeans maintain connections with others amid challenges during the pandemic. Another group comprising Minimoochi, Renee Chia, Alvina Ho and Shawn Koh will be exploring the funny side of new and lesser-known technology in their five-episode OMG Pranked series.

Australia, New Zealand worried by China deal with Solomons

The Australian and New Zealand prime ministers on Monday (Mar 28) voiced concerns about the potential for a Chinese military presence on the Solomon Islands.

Test online slots now, เล่นสล็อต we are an online slot provider. Online casinos are popular.

A document leaked last week indicates that China could boost its military presence in the South Pacific island nation, including with ship visits.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said he had spoken to New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern over the weekend about the development and planned to speak to his counterparts in Papua New Guinea and Fiji later on Monday.

"The reports that we've seen are not a surprise to us and are a reminder of the constant pressure and threats that present in our region to our own national security," Morrison told reporters.

"This is an issue of concern for the region but it has not come as a surprise. We have been long aware of these pressures," he added.

Ardern described the possibility of Chinese military forces stationed on the Solomons as "gravely concerning".

"We see such acts as the potential militarisation of the region," she told Radio NZ.

"We see very little reason in terms of the Pacific security for such a need and such a presence," she added.

Ardern urged Solomons' leaders "not to look beyond our own Pacific family" when considering the country's security relationships.

South Sudan leader sacks health minister

South Sudan's President Salva Kiir has sacked the country's health minister, according to a decree announced by state media on Wednesday night.

SLOTXO games are games that require luck to win. If gambling without discipline can easily deplete us, then it is important to have discipline in betting as the most important thing when starting a thousand walks.

No reasons were given for the firing of Elizabeth Acuei Yol.

She is the first cabinet minister from the party of the First Vice-President Riek Machar, the Sudan People's Liberation in Opposition (SPLM-IO), to be dismissed from the unity government.

President Kiir and Mr Machar formed the unity government in February 2020 after sealing a peace deal aimed at ending six years of civil war.

During her tenure, Ms Acuei was praised by health partners for the country's response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

But she also faced criticisms for her handling of the ministry's affairs, which saw her booed by MPs in December during a presentation in parliament.

The MPs urged Mr Machar to recommend for her dismissal over what they described as incompetence.

The former Reel Cinema, in Plymouth, has been the subject of negotiations with the council, leaseholders and a third party operator.

The council said the Art Deco front of the building would be preserved under the plans.

"While this is in the early stages, it's incredibly exciting," council leader Nick Kelly said.

The council, as the freeholder, said it had signed a conditional agreement with the long leaseholder to rejuvenate the site.

Full details are yet to be unveiled but the project is expected to see an extensive refurbishment that will result in the main auditorium being transformed back to its former glory.

It is likely to include removing an existing wall enabling the auditorium to hold 1,000 people for live entertainment.

What are they and how high could they go?

Interest rates have been raised from 0.5% to 0.75% - their highest level since March 2020.

ทางเข้า SLOTXO An online betting game that has attracted the attention of gamers and investors around the world.

The Bank of England announced its decision a day after US interest rates were raised for the for the first time since 2018.

Why are interest rates going up?
Adjusting interest rates is one of the many ways the Bank tries to manage the UK economy.

Sine the global financial crisis of 2008, UK interest rates have been at historically low levels. In March 2020 the rate was just 0.1%.

The aim was to encourage firms and individuals to borrow or spend money - to get the economy moving.

But there is a balancing act to perform. The Bank wants to encourage spending and growth, but also to make sure that this does not lead to rising prices.

Raising interest rates - to encourage people and firms to borrow and spend less, or to save money - is one of the tools it uses to limit inflation.

How high could interest rates go?
Few had been expecting UK interest rates to top 1.25% this year.

But the Office for Budgetary Responsibility (OBR) - the government's independent economic advisor - looked at the impact of higher and more persistent inflation.

This can happen if people think price rises will continue. Businesses could raise prices to keep making a profit and workers could demand wage increases to maintain living standards.

The OBR has suggested that if this occurs interest rates could reach 3.5%.
