"ห้องฉุกเฉินความดับลบ (Negative Pressure ER) 100% Fresh Air" ได้มีการพัฒนาโดย RISC by MQDC ร่วมกับ EEC ออกแบบห้องฉุกเฉินความดันลบ 12 Pa (*ข้อกำหนดขั้นต่ำของห้องความดันลบ 7.5 Pa) ทางเข้าของแพทย์ (Anteroom) เตรียมความดันลบที่ 5 Pa เพื่อทำให้อากาศภายในห้องที่มีผู้ป่วยติดเชื้ออยู่ไม่ไหลออกสู่ภายนอก ป้องกันการแพร่กระจายเชื้อ ภายในห้องได้มีการออกแบบแยกพื้นที่ให้มีความดันลบต่างกัน แยกทางเข้า-ออก เป็นทางเดียว (one-way route) เพื่อลดทั้งโอกาสการติดเชื้อ และลดการแพร่เชื้อสู่ส่วนต่างๆ ของห้อง
นอกจากนั้น ยังได้ทำการออกแบบงานระบบให้มีการดูดอากาศออกไปโดยตรงจากผู้ป่วย เพื่อป้องกันการแพร่ระบาดภายในห้อง โดยผ่าน HEPA Filter กรองอากาศและกักเชื้อก่อนปล่อยออกสู่ภายนอก ทำให้ปลอดภัยทั้งภายในและบริเวณโดยรอบ และมีการเติมอากาศบริสุทธิ์ (100% Fresh air) เข้าสู่ห้อง เพื่อทำให้มีการแลกเปลี่ยนอากาศใหม่ตลอดเวลา ไม่ใช้อากาศเดิมหมุนเวียนในห้อง และเป็นระบบปรับอากาศที่มีการควบคุมทิศทางการไหลของอากาศ โดยแยกแต่ละพื้นที่ ดังนี้
1. พื้นที่ทางเข้าของแพทย์เพื่อเตรียมเข้าห้อง (Anteroom) ออกแบบระบบอัตราการถ่ายเทเปลี่ยนอากาศ 10 รอบต่อชั่วโมง (10 Air changes/hour)
2. ส่วนหัตถการ มีการออกแบบระบบอัตราการถ่ายเทเปลี่ยนอากาศ 13 รอบต่อชั่วโมง (13 Air changes/hour)
*มาตรฐานด้านการแพทย์กำหนดขั้นต่ำของห้อง ER ระบบอัตราการถ่ายเทเปลี่ยนอากาศ 12 รอบต่อชั่วโมง (12 Air changes/hour)
ส่วนการออกแบบทางสถาปัตยกรรมของตัวห้อง ได้มีการออกแบบโดยคำนึงถึงการป้องกันการเจริญเติบโตของเชื้อโรคบนพื้นผิวของห้องและการอนุรักษ์พลังงาน การใช้งานได้ตรงตามพฤติกรรม ออกแบบตามหลักด้านสุขอนามัย และมีความยืดหยุ่นต่อการประกอบติดตั้ง ใช้พื้นที่น้อย มีความคล่องตัวในการขนย้าย
ภายในห้องมีรายละเอียด ดังนี้
· ผนัง ISO WALL มีพื้นผิวผนังไม่เอื้อต่อการเกิดเชื้อราและทำความสะอาดง่าย
· ประตูทั้งหมดเป็น Seal door ป้องกันการรั่วไหลของอากาศ เพื่อความปลอดภัยบริเวณโดยรอบ ขนาดประตูหลักกว้างเหมาะสมสำหรับรถเข็นและการขนย้ายอุปกรณ์ต่าง ๆ
· ขนาดห้องวางเตียงผู้ป่วยได้ 1 เตียง และรองรับทำหัตถการฉุกเฉิน ที่ต้องใช้เครื่องช่วยหายใจ (ผู้ป่วยสีแดง)
· พื้นห้องปูกระเบื้องยาง ตามมาตรฐานห้อง Clean room
· ไฟแสงสว่างภายในห้อง เลือกใช้ อุณหภูมิสีของแสง 4000K และติดตั้งไฟในตำแหน่งทำหัตถการ
· พื้นผิวภายในห้องเน้นสีขาวเพื่อสร้างการสะท้อนเพิ่มความสว่างภายในห้อง แพทย์ทำการรักษาและทำหัตถการมองเห็นได้อย่างชัดเจน และดูสะอาด มองเห็นสิ่งผิดปกติในห้องได้ง่าย
ภายนอกห้องมีรายละเอียด ดังนี้
· ผนัง ISO WALL ติดตั้งฉนวนโพลิยูริเธนชนิดกันไฟลาม ความหนา 2 นิ้ว เพื่อป้องกันความร้อนจากภายนอก และป้องกันการรั่วซึมของอากาศ (Air leakage protection) เพื่อลดการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้าภายในห้อง
· ห้องสามารถนำไปวางพื้นที่ภายนอกได้ กันแดด กันฝน
· ห้องทุกชิ้นส่วนสามารถถอดประกอบได้ เพื่อสะดวกต่อการเคลื่อนย้าย
· ห้องออกแบบให้มีขนาดกระทัดรัด เพื่อใช้ได้ทุกสถานที่ แม้จะมีพื้นที่กำจัด
· ผนังห้องภายนอกเปลี่ยนสีของแสงได้ตามช่วงเวลา เพื่อผ่อนคลายและให้ความสว่างโดยรอบ
RISC by MQDC ให้ความสำคัญกับการออกแบบที่ส่งผลต่อสุขภาพจิตใจ จากการออกแบบผนังห้องภายนอกให้มีการเปลี่ยนสีได้ตามเวลา ช่วงกลางคืนเปิดไฟโทนสีอุ่น (Warm white) และช่วงกลางวันเปิดไฟสีโทนฟ้า (Blue Light) ในช่วงความยาวคลื่น 470-480 นาโนเมตร จากผลงานวิจัย พบว่า แสงสีฟ้าช่วยลดความเครียดได้เร็วกว่าถึง 3 เท่า เมื่อเทียบกับแสงสีขาว และยังกระตุ้นการทำงานของสมองส่วนหน้า (Prefrontal cortex: PFC) ซึ่งช่วยในการบริหารจัดการ กำกับความคิด อารมณ์ และสร้างความผ่อนคลายโดยตรง
