รัฐบาลจีนประกาศกฎระเบียบใหม่แก้ปัญหาเด็กเยาวชนติดเกม หั่นเวลาเล่นเหลือแค่ 3 ชั่วโมงต่อสัปดาห์เท่านั้น

ระเบียบดังกล่าวเป็นการเพิ่มความเข้มงวดจากเดิมที่อนุญาตให้เล่นได้วันละ 1 ชั่วโมงครึ่งพร้อมจำกัดการเติมเงิน บังคับใช้ด้วยวิธีลงทะเบียนยืนยันตัวตนชื่อสกุลจริงเมื่อสมัครเกมออนไลน์ต่างๆ

นอกจากจำกัดปริมาณเวลาแล้ว กฎใหม่จะให้เยาวชนจีนเล่นเกมได้เฉพาะตอน 2 ทุ่มถึง 3 ทุ่ม สุดสัปดาห์วันศุกร์เสาร์อาทิตย์หรือวันหยุดราชการ ล็อกช่วงเวลาชัดเจนไม่มีทางเลือก

ในช่วงหลายปีที่ผ่านมา รัฐบาลจีนก็เพิ่มความเข้มงวดต่อวงการวีดีโอเกมทั้งหมด ทำให้บริษัทต่างๆ เริ่มนำเงินลงทุนไปขยายฐานตีตลาดต่างประเทศแทน ทั้งการซื้อกิจการค่ายดังและเปิดสตูดิโอใหม่

หนึ่งในค่ายใหญ่อย่าง Tencent ก็เผยว่าผู้เยาว์มีอัตราส่วนการใช้จ่ายไม่ถึง 3 เปอร์เซ็นต์ของผู้เล่นเกมทั้งหมดในจีน โดยพวกเขามีมาตรการจำกัดเวลาตามระเบียบรัฐบาล ถึงขั้นถ่ายภาพใบหน้าป้องกันการสวมรอยเลยทีเดียว

อีกด้านหนึ่ง ประเทศเกาหลีใต้ก็กำลังวางแผนจะยกเลิกกฎหมายจำกัดเวลาการเล่นเกมรอบดึกของเยาวชน เนื่องจากเป็นของเก่าแก่ตั้งแต่ปี 2011 ไม่ครอบคลุมทุกช่องทาง โดยจะเปลี่ยนให้ผู้เล่นมีทางเลือกการจำกัดเวลาเองผ่านการพูดคุยกับผู้ปกครอง
