ยะลา โดยให้บริการเที่ยวบินแบบเช่าเหมาลำ (Charter Flight) ใช้อากาศยานแบบ Q-400 ความจุผู้โดยสารจำนวน 86 ที่นั่ง โดยสายการบินนกแอร์ ในเส้นทางดอนเมือง - เบตง - ดอนเมือง ในวันที่ 29 มกราคม 2565

ด้านท่าอากาศยานเบตง ยืนยันมีความพร้อมในด้านกายภาพ อุปกรณ์ สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก และบุคลากรที่จะปฏิบัติหน้าที่ให้บริการภายใต้มาตรการการเฝ้าระวังโรคติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา2019 (โควิด-19) โดยทั้งหมดเป็นไปตามมาตรฐานความปลอดภัยของสำนักงานการบินพลเรือนแห่งประเทศไทย (กพท.) ซึ่งท่าอากาศยานเบตงได้รับใบรับรองการดำเนินงานสนามบินสาธารณะเป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว สายการบินนกแอร์จึงได้ขออนุญาตทำการบินแบบเช่าเหมาลำ (Charter Flight) เส้นทางบินกรุงเทพ - เบตง - กรุงเทพ เพื่อตรวจสอบความพร้อมในการให้บริการเที่ยวบินพาณิชย์ และสรุปข้อตกลงสำหรับการเปิดทำการบินแบบประจำ(Schedule Flight) ตามที่ได้ยื่นขออนุญาตทำการบินไว้ 2 เส้นทาง คือ 1.หาดใหญ่-เบตง-หาดใหญ่ และ 2.ดอนเมือง-เบตง-ดอนเมือง

สำหรับการเปิดเที่ยวบินพาณิชย์แบบประจำ กระทรวงคมนาคม กรมท่าอากาศยาน และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องจะมีการประชุมสรุปข้อมูลภายหลังจากเที่ยวบินทดลองนี้ เพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมของทุกฝ่ายอีกครั้ง ซึ่งการเปิดเที่ยวบินของท่าอากาศยานเบตงจะช่วยแก้ไขปัญหาการคมนาคมในพื้นที่ที่มีสภาพภูมิประเทศเป็นภูเขาสูงชัน ไม่สะดวกต่อการเดินทาง รวมถึงส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวอีกด้วย
